Parenting is one of the toughest jobs around. It's also the one with the best payoffs I've ever seen. Becoming a parent gives most adults a new perspective and respect for their own parents.

Children overall respect their parents but at some stage begin to make choices for themselves. We instill our guidance and morals in them and at some stage need to let them make decisions for themselves.

With computer usage, many parents set limits for their kids. We tell them what's acceptable and not so tolerated by us as their parents. You could look at chat transcripts, e-mails, websites viewed and keystrokes typed on or offline. This can help you determine what your kids are doing on the computer and let you know if there's any cause for concern.

Children are our responsibility and just because they get older, doesn't mean that their parents cease worrying about them. Naturally, you want to respect your child's privacy but the need to protect them if you suspect something is just not right is overpowering. Software can be used to temporarily diagnose the problem and be removed after you have the information you need.
