At Camden Acres you can lace up your golf shoes and walk out the front door, straight onto the links! Camden Golf Club (Studley Park) forms one boundary to the beautiful Camden Acres estate, so for the golf buffs among you, there's no panicking about where the closest course is. And for those who try to avoid the occasional game with well meaning friends or husbands (you know who you are!) there aren't any more excuses. Studley Park at Camden Acres is a beautiful course, and has been at the current site since 1950.
Camden Acres is also quite close to several other golf courses (there are six in the area!) - including Camden Valley Golf Resort and Camden Lakeside Golf Course. A little further away, is the award winning, internationally recognised Macquarie Links International Golf Club (which is private, but if you fancy purchasing a second home in the Macarthur area you can access it any time you like!).
Camden Acres is also close to the Camden Airport, so don't let it worry you that you might be too far from anywhere for air travel. Just hire a charter plane and you can be anywhere quicker than you think - a helicopter from Camden Acres can even take you to Sydney's International Airport if you need to travel a bit further from Camden Acres. After all, you're only about 60 kilometres from Sydney. If you don't fancy flying, then maybe gliding or hot air ballooning is more your style - see Camden Acres from the air!
If you've had a bit of a good time at one of the many beautiful old pubs in Camden, it's almost easy enough to walk home and return the next day to collect your car! Being so close, the short walk to Camden Acres in the fresh air will revive and refresh.
Public transport is also readily available in and around Camden Acres. Not too far away is Campbelltown (by bus, if necessary!) and from there you can catch a train to anywhere - Sydney Airport (International and Domestic), the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay, or interstate trains from Strathfield Rail Station can all be reached.
And if you prefer to travel by car or motorbike, Camden Acres is just at the end of the M5 motorway - and only 50 minutes from Sydney. With new motorways and roads opening around Camden Acres all the time (including a new link due to open in 2008, which will shave 10 minutes off your travel time to the city), you'll be able to get into the city almost as quickly as someone living in the inner west. But, unlike the inner west resident, you'll have country living at your doorstep (not to mention your pick of golf courses, and your own personal course just outside your front door).
