Human milk is designed for infants. Breast milk is the best food for your baby. It has the best nutrition and helps to keep your baby from getting sick. Breastfeed baby does not need solid foods for at least six months one year.

To other mothers they have to give their babies an infant formula because breastfeeding does not work for them. There are many kinds of formulas to choose too. However, you must select the appropriate formula for your baby. You may consult your physician on these. One of the formulas are "ready to feed" which mean it does need to mix anymore. Others formulas are concentrated liquid while others is in powder from that should mix with boiled water.

In feeding the baby, be sure you follow the directions when mixing the formula the right amount of water and powder milk. Small or more amount of milk can be harmful to the health of the baby. Your baby needs the right amount of formula.

To babies consume breast milk don't need any substitute food. But formula feed baby on the other hand need to eat substitute solid foods like vegetables, fruits and cereals. However, baby at an early age is not force to eat solid foods, but try to introduce the foods later until he likes it. There is no exact time when to feed the baby solid foods, but most mothers feed their baby cereals and other solid foods like fruits and vegetables after six months or older.

Adding solid foods to baby's diet can help them fight against diseases, deficiency and illness. When babies don't like it don't force him, just introduce the foods over and over again. It is advise to introduce foods one at a time so when the baby ill, it is easy to recognize which foods affects him.

Mothers can seasoned baby's food with small amount of salt. Baby's kidney cannot handle the excessive salt intake. Foods should be thoroughly mashed and pulverized to avoid baby from choking.

Cereals are generally introduced when infants age at about four to five month. This cereal must thoroughly cooked. Brown rice finely ground is good to serve, whole grains are nutritious than any other refined cereals. When the cereals is first introduce it must be in small amount, you can add later if they baby still want to eat more.

Some baby will find some foods acceptable while others are not. But time will come he learn to like it especially when the baby already one year old. He can pick some solid foods like breads, ripe banana, vegetables, egg yolk, and boiled potato with his hands and try to suck and eat. Mothers should watch their baby while eating, it is advisable for the mothers to have healthful menu good for babies.
