Always have a mask when you are getting rid of mold.
When there is a big problem like finding mold that could have been developing in a cabinet and has penetrated the wood or sheet rock, you could want someone skilled to come by and evaluate the issue. In places such as the bathroom, kitchen, and many times, your basement, there is always a lot of moisture in the air. If you do not have exhaust fans in these places, mold will probably start to grow and even if killed it will keep coming back until you have good ventilation. The exhaust vents are a smart product to avoid some mold issues in a basement, kitchen, or bathroom.
