Life contains many adversities. Though we don't like them when they happen, they are essential for our growth as human beings. Every adversity has opportunity, in fact you have opportunities right now, but almost always, we can't see those opportunities.

Opportunities come and go, and someone once said every 100 days we will have an opportunity that can really transform our lives for the better. That means in 1 year, we should have approximately 3-4 opportunities that can really propel our lives to the kind of life we dream of. But, many don't see it.

In 2007 I saw such opportunities and I took them. I would say I found 2 of those big opportunities that really helped me propel my life forward. At this point you may say you can't see those opportunities but they are there. And you can find them, if you only look with new eyes.

In life we can often find ourselves in a box. It is kind of like when someone says 'get the salt', and we look and can't seem to see it. When the person comes in, it was right in front of you, but you filtered it out. When adversity, in whatever way it manifests in our lives, it looks like there is no hope. You may find yourself in moments of hope and moments of no hope. And all the time, the opportunity is there.

Our biggest loses are those opportunities we did not know about, that we could not see, like the salt. I wonder as I sit here writing this, whether Bill Gates has such a situation. Yes, he is one of the richest men in the world, but he still has opportunities that he is not seeing, and it is right in front of his eyes.

A mechanic with greasy hands every day had a problem. No soap, even detergent would not clean his hands. Like many mechanics who had there own garage, he was earning same money on par with everyone else. But, here was a problem, an adversity. This adversity caused the man to find a solution, and this solution was a hand cleaning product which benefits mechanics everywhere, and allows them to have clean hands.

By using our head not our hands, we can excel. All over the world, we have hard workers. I mean dedicated individuals who give it there all. They work hard, and still produce same results as everyone else. Yes they may live a better life than many, because of there work ethic, but still it is only minor differences.

Opportunity exists for you. Step out of the box. Take a look at what you do with new eyes. What do you see? Is there an opportunity there? Are you getting your hands dirty and not finding solutions which would bring comfort, peace of mind, and an extraordinary life?
