Many events are scheduled at the Mission and it continues to be a focal point of cultural and religious activity. Santa Barbara Mission known as the Queen of the Missions for its graceful beauty. It was founded on December 4th, 1786, it was the tenth of 21 Franciscan missions in California. It still functions as a church today.
