First, if things do not end well between you, as long as you both live where you are living now you will have to continue to see that person and be friendly with them. In addition, at neighborhood affairs you will need to be in their company and if things do not end well this may not only be uncomfortable for you but for those around you, too!

While you are dating there will be some things that are really convenient but there may be other things that are not necessarily convenient. First of all, if you are having those days when you would rather stay in you may have to think twice about your reasoning to your date why you can't go out. You can't simply say that you already had other plans because they will be able to see that you are home. As you can see, the level of mystery as well as a normal level of privacy is done away with when you live with someone who is so close in proximity to your home.

If things don't go well, will you continue to feel safe and secure living next to someone that you had to break up with or had to break up with you? There is some luxury in having neighbors that you know you can go to for anything, but when you have burned someone else or been burned by them you will find that you have one less resource around the neighborhood. Are you willing to give this up to date someone who may or may not be someone you want to spend the rest of your days with?
